The work out of the week is raking.
What you'll need is:
A rake
A lawn full of leaves or dead grass,
gloves

All these things are optional. If you don't have a rake use a long tooth comb. If you don't have a yard full of leaves and stuff, ask your neighbor if he'll let you do his. Or go to any old resort and ask them if you can "work out" in their yard for free. No one will turn you down guaranteed. If you don't have gloves thats okay because it never hurt anyone to have a blister....actually they usually make us feel pretty good about what we've accomplished.

At a comfortable speed rake for fifteen minutes. Then switch hands. When the yard is done the work out is over and you can go back inside.

To make this work out more difficult, do it during windy weather, or after you've worked all day doing other things....like building a floor.

The best raking workout is right after it rained then everything is wet sticky and heavy. But that would be for the more advanced rake workout. Also you can always add the brush from your hedges. This also gives your muscles a workout because the brush is "bouncy" and will go everywhich way. Also when you try to jump your pile of leaves it is not such a soft landing with hedge brush. The neighbor kids don't really seem to mind though...

I raked leaves once.It was the hardest thing ever. It was wet, windy, and I raked uphill both ways. The yard was like a hundred miles big and lasted forever. Being the expert worker - outer that I am it only took me a few minutes of course. BUT IT WAS THE HARDEST FEW MINUTES OF MY LIFE.I was proud f the hard workk i did, and you should be too. Oh, I gotta go. Wife is making pankakes. All this talk of work makes me hungry.

Just so you all know. This blog was titled "Fitness Thursday" But it did not publish it as anything.

Thank you to the oldest child from far far away for sharing those helpful things for making it a harder work out.

I personally would like to hear the favorite sis-in-law comments on this matter before I jump into this.

So, like, does the lond tooth comb really work or is that just a Barbie trick?

Rakes work good for punishing wayward juveniles... that is a good workout!
