Watching out for the mole hills since the mountains can watch out for themselves
It means when our cook disappears on us before supper, we eat cake...that is, if our cook was kind enough to bake us a cake before leaving.
Something that's left really stuck to the sides of the pan after it is all eaten, you know, it's caked on.... Oh well, I tried.
