One for the experts

Dear fishing expert,

How can I keep my tackle box from smelling like French fries?

Sincerely,

Question number 2, why do they call it fishing? Why not catching?

Dear Honest Enquiry,
Unfortuantly I am not an expert on fishing. However, I have gone through a few lessons throughout my life while fishing. But, unfortunately again, I never learned the lesson involving french fries and fishing. I'm so sorry I could not help.

As for question #2, Nell, Thats pretty easy for me... I rarely ever catch anything. So it would be just wrong for me to call "fishing" "Catching." Maybe you are the expert!!!? What about the french fry question? Any ideas or are you as stumped as me?

Dear serious enquirey, stop putting your happy meal in your tackle box and the smell should go away in time.

Q2. Fishing is called fishing because most fishermen are trying to change the idea that they are all liars...therefore they cannot say they are going catching unless they can infact catch something.

I tend to agree with the expert at this, happy meals and tackle boxes really don't mix. Think perhaps, i mean, once I know where the fries are i rarely LOOK at them as i pull them out of the box / bag / whateverto eat them. I just pay attention to whatever else i'm doing and grab away. So then... see where i'm going? What if a little wave action causes the fries to move and the nightcrawlers to slide over? I'd be oblivious and be grabbing a handful of sun - baked crawlers instead of fries. Dangerous. So I warn you... no happy meals and fishing. As for the smell... your a woman, ever hear of potpurri? J/K..empty out all of the tackle without letting it get all tangled together, and give your tackle bax a mighty swooshing under the fresh clear lake water. Use no detergent r cleanser as future fish may smell this and continue to not bite. Then simply put the tackle back in the box. No smell. Hope it helps. Remember to EMPTY THE BOX first. I once went right to the swooshing and OOOPS! No catch that day, tat I got to take home anyway.
