The frieght train

Those aren't butterfly wings.

We lost some facea to the tornado.

And that one tree, by that one cabin, at that one corner.
Oh, and that other tree by that other cabin near that one bay. Oh, and a few trees on the point

Frankly, we didn't realize it was a tornado until little glow worms enertube went sailing by both of the bay windows.
Luckily, neither of the sheetrockers were sucked out the windows, though they claim it was rather percarious by the windows on the third floor.

Hi,
This is Heather Gehrke (McCauley now, from Lafarge wi,) We had a tornado go through the little town that I live in about two years ago!! VERY SCARY!!! Like you we didn't know it was going on until we saw parts of trees fly past the window. We had no warning. Do you have a lot of trees down??? We lost just about all of ours, it didn't "touch down" so most of the houses were o.k... but the tree tops were lost, and alot of trees were pulled up from the roots. Crazy. Anyhow I love readying your blog!!! I miss coming up there in the summer, we were just all talking about planning a trip up there again! Talk to you all soon, take care. - Heather

Wow!! Its been forever since we've heard from you! This is so much fun! Brings back lots of good memoires..hee hee. Yes indeed. It would be so much fun to see you all again. Time flies too fast.

We only had about five trees go down. It was a really high hitting wind so they all snapped about four feet up. But all of the life jackets headed out one end of the office porch while all the paddles went out the other. It was a really weird, disagreeable, moving wind. it probably only lasted 45 seconds.

We've gotten almost everything picked up that was good enough to land on the ground. There's still one poplar thats hanging beside its self and seems most determined to remain attatched to its base. poor thing doesn't know its dead and we havent the heart to break it to it...oh well, someday.

So what else have you guys been up to? Looks like your house is going to awesome! When do you get to move in? Are you all building it together?

So I am married now, and I have one and half kids :) My son is just over a year old, and I am three months pregnant! We are due Jan 28, very exciting! I want my kids to have as many good memories as I do going up and camping at your lake, thats why I want to come back up there. Plus I just miss it! Are either of you getting married? Having babies? I know Honey has a little one, does Erik and his wife have any kids? Its hard to believe that we are all grown up! How time flies. Now both of you still live at Timber Wolf, are you two going to one day run it? If so I am VERY jealous of you! How awesome it would be to be able to live and work at the place that you love more then anything in the world. Anyhow, you will have to email me so we can write more,. my email is hez_05@hotmail.com its the same one that I have always had. Talk to you both soon, Heather
